Winner ECIA Interior Award 2025

The ECIA is proud to announce the winner of the ECIA Interior Award 2025: Villa KinderZahn, a project of Lars-Erik Prokop, Architekten Bucher & Prokop, Germany.

From all 75 submissions across 20 different ECIA member countries, the jury, a diverse group composed of leading European architects/designers, recognised Villa KinderZahn as the most forward-looking project in the field of interior architecture/design. The shared second place was for the project Architecture Firm Stockholm Office by Katya Högberg, Tengbom, Sweden and the project Kulturareal Schlitz by Charlotte Greifenstein & Frank Dittel, Dittel Architekten, Germany.

The ECIA Interior Award celebrates not just aesthetic excellence, but design’s power to shape human experience said ECIA President Martin Thörnblom. The work embodies the principles of the Davos Quality System, embracing its eight criteria: governance, functionality, environment, economy, diversity, context, sense of place, and beauty. The beautiful projects exemplify how our profession can contribute to high-quality Baukultur, demonstrating its importance and relevance in the built environment, creating spaces that enhance well-being and health through design excellence and sustainability. The award ceremony took place on 25 April 2025 after the ECIA Conference Substance in Oslo, Norway and was streamed live on https://vimeo.com/event/5088962 (a review is available).
