In November, the bdia Federal Assembly elected Pia A. Doll, Interior Designer, as a new president. She has been the bdia vice-president since 2015 and a delegate for the European Council of Interior Architects (ECIA), the Associations and Chambers of Engineers and Architects the Fee Scale (AHO), and the Accreditation Association for Degree Programs in Architecture and Planning (ASAP).

Pia A.Doll studied at the University of Darmstadt and has been working as an interior designer in Frankfurt / Main since 2001.

In the same meeting, the Weimar Declaration Mehr Bauen im Bestand "More building in existing buildings - with interior architects!", an appeal for more climate protection in construction, was adopted.
