BERGER + PARKKINEN
We are starting 2021 with two good news for the architects of BERGER + PARKKINEN: The Paracelsus Bath & Spa Salzburg, which was completed last year, has been nominated for two prizes – the Fiabci Prix D'Excellence Austria and the Mies Van Der Rohe Award.
The Fiabci Prix D'Excellence Austria, an award from the real estate industry, nominated the Paracelsus Bath in the category special property.
The Mies Van Der Rohe Award will be awarded in 2022. The award is accompanied by a traveling exhibition.
BERGER+PARKKINEN was founded in 1995 by Tiina Parkkinen and Alfred Berger. In the same year they won the international competition for the Embassies of the Nordic Countries in Berlin. Numerous successful competitions and distinctions followed, including finalists of the Mies van der Rohe Awards, short-list for the State Awards for Architecture and Sustainability, the Architecture Prize Salzburg. Regular lectures and exhibition activities in Europe, India, Mexico, and USA, i.a. Venice Architecture Biennale, London Architecture Biennale, Galerie Aedes, Berlin.
