ECIA General Assembly 2017 will take place in Estonia

The annual General Assembly of European Council of Interior Architects hosted by ESL will take place in a traditional summer resort Pärnu which is located at the Baltic seashore just between Tallinn and Riga.

The General Assembly will up date the work 2016–2017: the meetings, membership developments, education, European matters, organisation of the board etc, but focus on investigating data through SPIDER model about the profession of interior architect/designer regulation by law, standardisation by national organisation, title protection, building permission, insurance and education.

The ECIA General Assemby and 25-th birthday events will take place in Pärnu Rannahotell, which is one of the best examples of functionalism in Estonia (1937). The speakers for ECIA birthday event symposium ‘Bright Future’ are: Margit Aule & Margit Argus, KAOS Architects (Estonia); Sabine Keggenhoff, Keggenhoff + Partner (Germany); Ricardo LópezMosteiro (Spain); Hugo de Jager, Revelating (The Netherlands); Dr. Katelijn Quartier, Retail Design Lab, University Hasselt (Belgium), Gabriel Ionut Mándriscanu, URBISON (Romania).

The guests will visit the most outstanding buildings designed by the awarded architects and interior architects in Estonia with the guide from the Museum of Architecture. To sum it up several Mies van Der Rohe nominents will be introduced to the ECIA GA delegates and guests in Tallinn as well as the spaces for the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The ECIA board together with ESL is looking forward to meet you all at the ECIA General Assembly in Estonia, Sept 8­–9 !
