Presidents Christmas Message
Dear ECIA members, dear friends,
So this is Christmas, and what have we done… (J. Lennon).
This year, we have worked hard on many exciting projects. The highlights have, of course, been the EU-supported BCSP project. But also, other tasks such as the update of the ECIA statutes, the new website, logo & graphic design, expanding the board, and more are important steps that show a strong and contemporary community, which we have built together across Europe.
The ECIA conference, together with the launch of the Spider Models Research and the ECIA Interior Award Ceremony, on 25-26 April 2025 in Oslo and then the launch of the ECIA ATLAS Archive (the go-to library of all interior activity across Europe), will also be a powerful conclusion to the BCSP project. I look forward to seeing you, live or online, at this event.
Our General Assembly in Lucerne, Switzerland, was another important event this year. It was a wonderful gathering where we shared ideas, learned from each other, and celebrated our shared passion for our profession. It was inspiring to see so many of you there, and I’m looking forward to the next one—and my last one as president—in Vienna in 2025.
We also welcomed the new ECIA effective members IA from Ireland and SAW from Poland. We are excited to work with you and also to continue growing our network of professionals across Europe.
Last but not least, I want to take this opportunity again to extend heartfelt thanks to all our member organisations, my excellent board members, and all sub-project partners. It’s truly amazing to see the enthusiasm and dedication with which, even in difficult situations, your commitment to the ECIA helps us move forward!
Finally, I wish you and your families a happy & restful break, a Merry Christmas, and a prosperous New Year in 2025.
Have fun!
