European Charter of Interior Architectural Training

Did you know that ECIA has established a “European Charter of Interior Architectural Training”?

This significant document has evolved over the years, adapting to the changing educational landscape in Europe.

Originally, the charter aimed to define entry requirements for the profession of interior architect/designer. It has now grown beyond this – it has become a valuable resource for national discussions in European countries on education policies, curriculum development, and recognition processes.

As part of our EU-co-funded project 'Building on Connections for a Stronger Profession,' we are in the process of re-publishing this charter, both in print and digital forms and as a handout for conferences.

Keep an eye on our page as the work on the new “European Charter of Interior Architectural Training” we will share updates as the work develops.

You can find the content of the charter here.
