Successful GA in Lucerne
Another successful General Assembly for the ECIA held in the alpine and historic city of Lucerne.
Many thanks goes out to our member VSI.ASAI and Hochschule Luzern for hosting us and organizing such an excellent programme.
We extend a warm welcome to national organisations SAW (Poland) and The Interiors Association (Ireland) as new effective members. The ECIA now proudly represents 20 European countries (see our members page for the details) and continues to set high standards within the profession.
An update of the ECIA statutes were adopted and there were some changes in the ECIA board. After serving the maximum of 6 years in the board, Jeremy Williams was stepping back. We are grateful for his invaluable team skills and tireless contribution to the board. The mandate of Loes Bliek was extended for one year and we welcomed three new board members: May Fawzy (BIID, UK), Kristina Jonasson (Sveriges Arkitekter, Sweden) and Milan Îlles (SAID, Slovakia).
In the afternoon, there were dynamic round table discussion centered around the recognition of the Interior Architect in Europe.
Cheers to an inspiring gathering, exchange of ideas and fruitful collaboration!
