The Atlas Archive An ECIA Research Project
Promoting the ECIA Charter of Interior Architecture Training, as a tool to work towards a higher standard for Interior Architects education and consequently the profession in the EU. This also includes the organisation of a Charter networking conference in collaboration with subprojects 1, 3 and 6.
The working group set up two master presentations, to be held physically or online in Universities around Europe. One features the charter’s “Making of” and content, the other the embedding of the charter in the BCSP programme to encourage other universities to produce and donate content to the charter’s implementation. Interested in one of these presentations? Please reach out to the leader of the subproject on j.williams@ecia.net
The working group is currently working towards two mayor products:
A visual publication to promote the main points of the 2020 CharterThe European Charter for Interior Architecture Training 2020 was published as a word document with some diagrams and appendices. In this new addition we aim to make the main elements of the 2020 charter more accessible by using illustrations, pictograms, photograps and an improved graphic design layout. The book is now undergoing final touches by a graphic designer.
This conference with the name Substance will be a hybrid conference. This conference will be held on 24 April 2025 at Kristiana University in Oslo. The main topic will be the third level of education for Interior Architects but it will also to connect muiltiple achievements of BCSP, with speakers from Universities across Europe
